Leeuwarden - 20/07/2006 - This year for the fifth time the FEC in Leeuwarden will be the home base for Domino Day. Previous years were: 1998 Visionland, 2002 Expressions for Millions, 2004 Challenge and 2005 when the theme was: Theatre of Eternal Stories.
Because Domino Day is growing bigger every year, we are always looking for more space. Last year we used two different floor levels but this year it would not have been sufficient. The solution which has been put into action: building a new part and add that floor space to the existing hall.
The new part adds around 4000 m2 to the existing hall and makes the total floor space about 9600 m2. Last year this number was 7650 m2.
A new hall means a new floor. This year a brand new domino floor was placed in the hall where we will build Domino Day. A new floor means a great and smooth surface for good building. It will be up to us to keep the floor clean, build those dominoes and keep them standing until the big day!
