News: New German School Record

Woerden - 21/06/2007 - On the 3rd of June the students from the Joseph Bernhart Gymnasium in Turkheim (Germany) managed to set a German domino toppling school record. A team of eleven builders worked on the project. They were headed by Philipp Zimmermann (15) who was responsible for the planning, organisation and realisation of the project. He is also a long time domino-fan.

The whole domino-trail consisted of many domino fields depicting various images like a map of the world, the White House and a portrait of the school principle. The trail even contained a nice domino-stacking of about 60 centimeters high.

Just like with the real world record an official notary was present at the record attempt to determine the exact number of dominoes that were toppled. He determined that 44.260 dominoes of the 50.853 that were put up had been toppled thus setting a very high standard for possible future school record attempts.
