Leeuwarden - 24/09/2006 - The builders of this year's Domino Day have arrived and are now starting with the building. The group exists of builders from 13 different European countries. From the almost 400 people who applied, there are 94 builders who made it through the casting.
During the first day of work everybody had the opportunity to see the domino hall for the first time. They got a presentation about the theme and projects of Domino Day 2006. After this they had a special domino training for three days where they learned a lot about the difficult task of domino building. On the thirth day the famous Dutch singer Ilse de Lange came to place the first domino. And we were off to start building for a new world record.
In their spare time the domino builders have group activities to get to know each other, and this way becoming the great team they need to be to set up this year's Domino Day. Also there are opportunities to sport to keep everybody in good shape.
