Leeuwarden - 10/11/2008 - One more week to go and then the tenth edition of Domino Day will be a fact. This week we will set the finishing touches to our work and build the last dominoes of 4.500.000 in the 10.000 m2 big venue. This weekend we managed to find time to build a small domino project for the weekly Dutch live TV amusement programme "Mooi! Weer de Leeuw" with Paul de Leeuw, a famous Dutch TV host and singer. In this programme the most various wishes are fulfilled (although it not always goes like someone had thought or had hoped!).
The domino project was called a 'left over' from Domino Day, it showed a picture of McCain. The domino project was literally the centre of the live show. During the show Paul de Leeuw constantly made jokes about and around the dominoes. He let his co-host Adje almost fall over the dominoes, hugged guests so firmly that they almost tripped over the dominoes and finally a caravan that came into the studio for a specific wish should have hit the dominoes by accident. The joke was that the caravan did not hit the dominoes, so Paul de Leeuw toppled the dominoes himself! The audience was very happily surprised by the nice appereance of the toppling dominoes (which showed a photo of 'McCain for President')!
